New Information about PA’s Early Learning Network and WSS/OZ Reporting for STAR 3 and 4 Programs!

We are moving closer to October 1st, the time when Accountability Block Grant programs, Head Start State Supplemental Programs, and Keystone STARS 3 & 4 program will report child outcomes in WSS/Ounce Online. As we get closer, you will begin to see information on the Early Learning Network disseminated from OCDEL.

Here is the first of these communications, an announcement from OCDEL to the STARS programs. A similar announcement went out to the HSSAP and ABGs. The announcement also describes several training opportunities and materials that will be coming soon.

Announcing PA Pre-K Counts Bidders Meetings and TA Teleconferences

The Governor's 2009-10 budget proposal includes additional funds for PA Pre-K Counts to expand families' access to high quality pre-kindergarten. It is anticipated that an estimated 1050 children will be added through both new applicants' service delivery and expansion of current PA Pre-K Counts programs. Eligible new applicants are invited to participate in Bidders Meetings and TA sessions to find out more about the application process and program requirements. [read more]

As part of its work to continue to strengthen and improve the Keystone STARS program, the Office of Child Development & Early Learning (OCDEL) conducted a provider survey that focused on provider perception of the most beneficial aspects of STARS and on ease of use of the various STARS resources.
